Wedding Jewelry Trends 2025 – Straight from the Runways of NYFW Bridal Week

Looking ahead to wedding season, we noticed some fun trends on the bridal runways in NY last October. For many, the wedding day is one of the most important and most highly photographed occasions of their lives. After saying yes to the dress, brides are ready to shop for jewelry and accessories, not only for the wedding gown, but also for the reception look or looks, the bridal brunch, the rehearsal dinner, and the various occasions surrounding the special day. The biggest trend is fusing old and new, finding contemporary ways to wear classic pieces of fine jewelry or incorporate an heirloom piece or vintage jewels. Contemporary brides are also seeking out distinctive designs that put their own special stamp on their signature look. Here are the wedding day jewelry trends that we noticed on the runway and that we expect to be prevalent in 2025.
“Of all the work that I do, I think my heart swells the most when I help brides find the perfect jewelry for their wedding day,” says Giuseppe Picchiotti, founder and lead designer of the PICCHIOTTI fine jewelry brand. “I always enjoy helping people look their best, but the wedding is an event unlike any other. The pictures from that day will be cherished forever. Also, I know in my heart that wedding jewelry will likely become an heirloom that will be handed down for many generations. The idea of that beauty and that love lasting forever thrills me and gives me great pride! I love being a small part of it.”
Crossover Classics

One trend we spotted on the 2025 bridal runways is what we are calling crossover classics. Pieces that can be worn for the wedding day and beyond. With so many embellishments on the gowns, simplifying accessories is key. Choosing great jewelry wardrobe basics like tennis bracelets, choker necklaces, pearl pieces, and diamond earrings allows the bride the option of wearing the jewelry many times after the big day. Choosing versatile pieces that can also work for everyday wear lets you take a little bit of that nuptial joy with you throughout the year whenever you want to relive the memory or carry a piece of your love story with you.
Designers like Galia Lahav and Nadia Manjarrez featured classic diamond hoop earrings on the runway with their 2025 dresses, the sleek linear design adding some sparkle without taking away from the glory of the dress. PICCHIOTTI offers a variety of diamond hoop earring designs, allowing brides to choose the perfect size or style for their unique look.
Justin Alexander, Lein, Yuliia Lobachóva opted for everyday diamond necklaces and pearl drop earrings for their 2025 bridal looks – simple, chic styles that accent without overwhelming, neutral or iconic pieces that can be worn on a daily basis with many other clothes in the wardrobe. PICCHIOTTI’s Easy Wear collection offers a variety of necklaces in yellow or white gold, some short, some long, specifically designed to be worn with everything in the closet. The collection also features earrings and bracelets that can add sparkle to a wedding look as well as many other looks in the days and years beyond the big day.
The classic diamond tennis bracelet has been enjoying a Renaissance over the last few seasons, appearing on red carpets and runways alike. PICCHIOTTI’s Xpandable tennis bracelets come in a wide selection of designs. Brides love the white diamond styles, and luckily, they look wonderful stacked and worn with other bracelets and luxury watches. The bridal tennis bracelet can be a wonderful starter piece for an exceptional collection that can be added to every anniversary, birthday, holiday season, etc. Add colored gemstone tennis bracelets whenever a pop of color is needed.
Short Necklaces

Short necklaces and chokers have been trending of late, as well. So it is no surprise that bridal designers are also embracing the trend, with short collars and chokers worn high above the bridal gown. The recent Golden Globes red carpet was filled with celebrities wearing short diamond necklaces, a very flattering look on the collar bone that adds sparkle to the overall ensemble and elevates the overall essence of the look.
New York bridal designers Monique Lhuillier, Yullia Lobachova, and Evan Hirsch opted for short diamond necklaces atop their strapless gowns, leaving the decolletage open, drawing attention to the bride’s natural beauty. Similarly, stars like Arianna Grande, Zendaya, and Anna Sawaii all wore short diamond necklaces atop their strapless Couture gowns on the red carpet for the Golden Globes.
PICCHIOTTI offers a wide variety of bridal diamond necklaces, including tennis necklaces in classic round diamonds, as well as more statement diamond collars that will become a go-to in the wardrobe for all future special occasions after the wedding day. For those wishing to fill the decolletage or add some extra sparkle, a double or triple strand diamond necklace will do the trick.
Vintage Accents

Another trend we noted for 2025 bridal looks is the addition of vintage accents like ribbons, bows, flowers, of course, pearls. Pearl earrings were seen at Jenny by Jenny, Lili Hod, and more. Several designers featured pearl earrings atop the Basque waist trend (seen on many runways at NYFW Bridal Week), a nice way to frame the torso at top and bottom, while keep the overall look classic and sophisticated. Designers at Woná Concept, Honor, Justin Alexander, Sareh Nouri, and Rime Arodaky included ribbons or bows, while Galia Lahav, Milla Nova, Hera Couture, and many more opted for floral accents, often three-dimensional creating a very contemporary feel, even with such traditional motifs – the perfect fusion of past and present that modern brides are seeking. Pearls were also embedded into the fabric as accents at Nardos, Esé Azénabor, and others, another nod to tradition in very fashion-forward looks.
These additions of vintage themes with very contemporary bridal gowns can also be achieved with jewelry. PICCHIOTTI has an entire bow jewelry collection. Named the Fiocco collection (Italian for Bow), the assortment features a variety of diamond ribbons and bows in both yellow and white gold. The gold is crafted to recreate the sinews of real ribbon, either tied into tight bows or looping in sensuous way to add a sense of movement and femininity to the neck or earlobe. PICCHIOTTI’s pearl swirl earrings also add a touch of tradition on the lobe, and the timeless pairing of pearls and diamonds ensures that these earrings can be and will be worn again in the future.
Statement Earrings

Statement earrings were also front and center on the 2025 bridal runways, as a singular piece of jewelry complimenting the wedding gown but not detracting from the bridal rings as the focal point of the ceremony. Nardos, Sassi Hoford, Renhue, and others opted for sizable drop earrings in white (diamonds, or pearls, or both), some with a sizable on the lobe element with a small drop, others with a large drop below a small diamond or pearl on the lobe. These eye-catching looks must be paired with the aesthetic of the gown itself. PICCHIOTTI offers brides a wide variety of statement earrings. Concentric loops in diamonds make a short earring that hangs just below the lobe, while crisscrossed ribbons hang a bit longer. Oval dangles featuring small floral motifs add a bit of whimsy which would pair nicely with many of the bridal gowns that feature 3-D flowers, large or billowing sleeves, and some of the capes and embellished veils that are trending. And PICCHIOTTI’s Xpandable Reversible collection features some versatile drop earrings with mother of pearl and diamond on one side and white on the other. The drop portion of the earring simply flips over to reveal a different look, great for switching up the bridal look between the ceremony and the reception, and a great addition to the jewelry wardrobe for wearing with all kinds of outfits in the future – a statement earring and a crossover classic.
The best thing about all the trends we noticed on the bridal runways is that many of the looks will last. No need to limit the wedding jewelry only for the wedding. Have fun incorporating these styles into your everyday wardrobe or wearing again for other special occasions and milestones throughout life. Every time you wear your bridal jewelry again, you are sure to have delightful pangs of sweet nostalgia and hopefully blissful memories of one of the best days of your life. “Wear them in good health,” says Giuseppe, “and let the sparkle add a little lift to your smile and a gleeful boost to your heart.”
